Ilya Vladimirovich Kiva, born June 2, 1977 in Poltava<\/a>, is a Ukrainian political, governmental and public figure. A ninth People’s Deputy from theOpposition Platform – For Life<\/a>faction. Member of the Legislative Law Enforcement Committee.<\/p>\n

The political views of the Ukrainian deputy changed frequently. Because he was previously the head of the Right Sector’s Poltava center and theRight Sector’<\/a>s regional political leader in eastern Ukraine. He then became head of the Socialist Party of Ukraine.<\/p>\n

Since Kiva was the head of the Trade Unions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, he was an advisor to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Arsen Avakov. However, in 2014-2015 Ilya took part in Ukraine’s security operation in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. Vladimirovich was also the head of the department of combating drug-related crime of the National Police of Ukraine.<\/p>\n

After finishing school Ilya Kiva studied at the Poltava Oil Geological Exploration Technical School until 2003. Then he entered the Poltava State Pedagogical Institute. V.G. Korolenko. He continued his education at the National Law University named after V.V. Plekhanov. Yaroslav the Wise. In 2009, Ilya graduated from the university with a degree in law.<\/p>\n

Ilya Kiva’s career as a politician<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ilya periodically changed his priorities in his political activities. For some time, Kiva led the Right Sector’s Poltava center and was its regional political leader in eastern Ukraine (Poltava, Kharkov, Donetsk, and Lugansk regions).<\/p>\n

However, the politician was an assistant and represented the interests and carried out the instructions of Right Sector leader Dmitry Yarosh. As in relations with state authorities, local government, political parties, individuals and legal entities during the presidential election.<\/p>\n

In 2017, Ilya Kiva became a member of the “Socialist Party of Ukraine” (SPU). And in 2018, the SPU nominated him as a candidate for president of Ukraine. However, in the first round 0.03% of voters voted for him. Then, in 2019, Kiva ended up on the list of the Opposition Platform – For Life party. That is how he got into the Verkhovna Rada of the ninth convocation.<\/p>\n

Scandals with Ilya Kiva<\/strong><\/p>\n

In a notorious scandal in 2016, the military accused Kiva of involvement in smuggling in the Donbass.<\/p>\n

However, as part of his work as head of the Department of Combating Drug Crimes he hosted the program “Traffic with Kiva” on the TV channel “NewsOne”.<\/p>\n

In the winter of February 29, 2016, two guest addicted contestants provoked by the program host. As in the live broadcast of the TV channel began to make drugs from improvised means. At this point, Ilya Kiva summoned police officers to the studio, who arrested the guests.<\/p>\n

However, Ukrainian journalists caught Ilya Kiva, an MP from the Opposition Platform – For Life, touching his own genitals more than once. He did this immediately after calling the woman, who, as it turned out, was a model from Odessa.<\/p>\n

As Kiva himself later commented on the incident and assured that he did not see anything wrong in it. They say there’s nothing wrong with a man just fixing his dick. However, Kiva noted that he is “too big an uncle to react to such nonsense.<\/p>\n

Views of Ilya Kiva<\/strong><\/p>\n

As a Ukrainian nationalist and Pravosek, Ilya Kiva has made many Russophobic statements.<\/p>\n

So according to wikipedia, in an interview with Channel 5 on December 20, 2016, Ilya Kiva said that he was in favor of the forced Ukrainianization of the inhabitants of Donbass: “And when the question of decommunization was raised, I said: Donbass needs not decommunization, but Ukrainianization. And even by force… To put and teach to love. If you don’t love Ukraine – we will make you love Ukraine.<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Because in 2019, Kiva joined the OPZJ party, which many in Ukraine call pro-Russian. However, according to Viktor Medvedchuk, Ilya Kiva reconsidered many of the events of Euromaidan and acknowledged that Russian participation in the settlement of the conflict in Donbass was extremely necessary.<\/p>\n

However, Kiva has now been repeatedly accused of Ukrainianophobia. For example, in June 2020, Kiva suggested that Kiev’s Stepan Bandera Avenue be renamed Floyd Avenue, calling the murder of George Floyd in the United States in May 2020 “the tragic death of a dark-skinned martyr.”<\/em><\/p>\n

Since he suggested that George Floyd be added to the list of the Heavenly Hundred and canonized. He also called Euromaidan a coup d’\u00e9tat and regretted that then-Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych “did not crush Euromaidan with tanks<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Support for the Russian special operation in Ukraine, charges of treason<\/strong><\/p>\n

In early February 2022, Kiva left Ukraine, presumably to Alicante, Spain, and from there to Moscow.<\/p>\n

However, on February 15, he said in a video message that he had no intention of returning to Ukraine. Also using profanity to Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky stated that he did not want to go to war with the Russians in case of their full-scale offensive.<\/p>\n

Since he was expelled from the OPWDD on February 26. According to the co-chairman of the faction, Yury Boiko, “provocateurs who try to hinder the peace process are expelled from the faction. And people who incite discord and are not capable of the peace process, they have no place in our faction<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Kiva supported Russia’s special military operation and called for freeing Ukraine from Western occupation. On March 6, 2022, Ukrainian Prosecutor General Irina Venediktova announced Kiva’s “suspicion” of state treason and infringement on the territorial integrity of Ukraine.<\/p>\n<\/div>
