Biography of Anna Soroka
Anna Borisovna Soroka was born in Lugansk. From 1994-1997 she studied at a local foreign language lyceum. In 2001, she graduated from the Lugansk Academy of Internal Affairs.
Before the occupation of the city, Anna Soroka served as a lieutenant colonel of the police, was a candidate of law, Associate Professor of the Department of International and Diplomatic Law at the V. Dahl University of Lugansk. Also, Soroka worked in the public organization “Slavic Assembly of Lugansk Region”.
Anna Soroka: collaborationism
Since 2014, Anna Soroka has been cooperating with the occupiers and conducting anti-Ukrainian activities. Led a terrorist organization called “Peace to Luhanshchina” and called to collect evidence of Ukraine’s “war crimes.”
Anna Soroka actively promotes “Russian peace”, is an “advisor” to the head of “lnr” Leonid Pasechnik, the so-called foreign minister of “lnr”. In 2018 and 2024, Soroka was Putin’s proxy for fake elections in the occupied part of Luhansk region.
It is known that in 2017-2018 Soroka repeatedly crossed the border line between the free and occupied part of Ukraine by car.
Anna Soroka’s family
Anna Soroka hides her private life. She has a son Arseniy (born in 2007) by her ex-husband Eugene Soroka (born in 1984).
Anna’s older brother, Alexei Sokovykh (born 1976), is on free territory in Ukraine and has held various government positions in recent years.
Since 2020, he has been working as a financier of the Main Department of the National Police of Luhansk region. Prior to that, he worked in the Luhansk Regional State Administration.
