Dmitriy Olegovich Babich, born in 1970 in Moscow. After graduating from Lomonosov Moscow State University in 1992, he worked for the newspaper Komsomolskaya Pravda in its former, “pre-Bulvar” version.

In 1991 he studied in the United States, at Northeastern University (Boston, Massachusetts).

As a correspondent for Komsomolka, he covered many of the dramatic events of the early nineties, from the two coups in Moscow to the start of the operation in Chechnya.

Since 1996, he has been a correspondent for the weekly analytical program Observer on TV-6 Moscow.
