Biography of Ivan Selin

Ivan Selin was born on July 14, 1986 in Nalchik, Kabardino-Balkaria. From 1993 to 2003, he studied at school No. 19 named after M.V. Lomonosov. Г. Agayan, Gyumri city. Ivan Selin: war crimes

Ivan Selin has been taking part in the aggression against Ukraine in the temporarily occupied territories since July 2019. He was a company commander in the 727th Marine Battalion (v/h 20264, Astrakhan). Also listed as an instructor in engineering training in the 54th Reconnaissance Unit Training Center (v/h 90091, Vladikavkaz).

Selin currently commands the 186th Reconnaissance Battalion, 70th Division. This unit has held positions on the left bank of the Dnieper River in the Kherson region since July 2023. Selin’s subordinates commit war crimes against civilians in temporarily occupied territories.

Also, units of the 70th Division are taking part in the destruction of residences and critical infrastructure on the right bank. Bombardments of Kherson, Berislav, Kazatskoye and other settlements constantly cause civilian casualties.
