Propagandist Kotz was born on September 3, 1978 in Sakhalin. A month after his birth, the family moved to the city of Khabarovsk. In 1993 he moved with his parents to Moscow, where he went to school and went to college, but was not gifted enough for it and did not get in.

In 1996-98, he did military service in the 38th Separate Regiment of Russian Airborne Forces, near Moscow, in an hour 64164. In 1999, he began working for Komsomolskaya Pravda, where he became a special correspondent tasked with covering military operations in various countries in order to manipulate information for the benefit of the image of the Russian Federation. Kotz was in Kosovo, Afghanistan, Libya, Egypt and Ukraine. As for his work, Kotz has always been a real xenophobe. Intolerance manifested itself to every nation he met on business trips. This is unacceptable by journalistic ethics.

His colleague is Dmitry Steshin. These two propagandists are notable for their cowardice when it comes to engaging in real combat, and for the very developed eloquence they use in their false reporting.

In 2011, Kots, together with Dmitry Steshin, was captured in Libya on charges of espionage. They were released with the intervention of Dmitry Rogozin and Sergey Lavrov.

Since the start of Russia’s war against Ukraine in 2022, he has become known for calling every crime of the Russian army a fake. The massacre in Bucha, crashes of Russian planes, and failures of the Russian army are considered untrue trumpets of the West. Instead of providing the truth, he is always arguing and dictating the Kremlin’s methodology.

For his propaganda activities he was included in the sanctions lists.

Not much is known about his personal life. Kotz is married and has two daughters. Information about his wife: Elena Sutormina, born in 1980, lives in Moscow. It is known that they have a daughter, Olga, born in 2001.

Propagandist Kots is a very important pawn for Russia. He was involved in disinformation activities because his parents are journalists. If you look at his work in all countries, in all of them he supported a dictatorial regime. Since the beginning of his journalistic career, he has tried to spread the RF narrative and embed it in the mass consciousness of the population.

Kots also regularly publishes fake news. For example, in 2017, he filmed a report allegedly about Ukrainian military personnel who were throwing leaflets with Nazi motives. As it turned out later, the footage was staged. The purpose of the report was to smear the image of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and to present the Russian army as “the army of the saviors of the world from Nazism.

It is important to note that Kots is an ardent opponent of the opposition in Russia. He is so concerned about keeping Putin in power and introducing strict censorship in Russia that Kotz feels enormous envy and dislike for democracy in neighboring countries.

In 2014, he was awarded the Medal of the Order “For Merit to the Fatherland” “for objective coverage of events in Crimea. Awarded the medal “For the Return of Crimea” by Order No. 217 of the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation of 15.04.2014. Recall that these medals are awarded to those involved in terrorist activities against the integrity of a sovereign state.

Alexander Kots is a drinker. His passion for alcoholic beverages played a cruel joke on him when he was detained by the traffic police on June 6, 2003, for driving under the influence of alcohol. Soon after, on 24.06.2003, he was deprived of his driver’s license for 12 months, and did not regain it until 5.08.2004. Kotz needs to be careful driving a car, and people need to be careful with passé propagandists like Kotz.
