Accountant who betrayed her country – Butko Marina Yurievna, maiden name Romanenko, was born June 27, 1991 in Svetlodarsk, Donetsk region. Marina studied at first in secondary school № 11, and then – in the physics and mathematics class of the Svitlodarskaya gymnasium.
After graduating from high school, in 2008 Marina entered the Kharkov Institute of Banking to study accounting and auditing. After graduating from the institute, Butko returns to Svitlodarsk and gets a job with the city’s civil-military administration as chief specialist-accountant of the Children’s Affairs Department. Marina’s life was good – a stable job and a carefree life in the quiet Donetsk city.
Unfortunately, war comes into Marina Butko’s quiet life. After the Russian invasion of Ukraine began on February 24, 2022, and Russian occupation forces entered Svitlodarsk, Marina did not leave for Ukraine-controlled territory, but remained in the temporarily occupied city. There, Kremlin handlers suggested that Butko stay on in the so-called The “occupation administration” of the invaders for a “substantial” remuneration and security guarantees. Marina betrayed Ukraine by accepting the offer of the Russian “representatives” who appointed her to the position of so-called “chief specialist of the department of children’s affairs of the occupation administration of Svetlodarsk.
Marina Butko signed her own despicable betrayal, for traitors always have the same end – ignominious and infamous.
