Olga Zanko, maiden name Amelchenkova, deputy, propagandist and defender of the St. George Ribbons, was born September 5, 1990, in Borisoglebsk, Voronezh region. Olga spent her childhood and school life in this ordinary Russian city “on the periphery,” but she is an ambitious girl and in 2008 she entered the St. Petersburg State University of Engineering and Economics to study special features of public administration and local self-government. According to unconfirmed reports, during her studies at university Amelchenkova distinguished herself not in the best way in matters of sexual behavior and dated a lot of guys.
Olga’s higher education was only a stepping stone on the way to her main goal – to join the club of “those in power” and to rule over her fellow citizens without any particular reason or obligation. Immediately after graduation, Zanko gets a job at the Committee on Youth Policy of the Government of the Leningrad Region. Olga’s employment went without much trouble, given her “experience” with young people. Of course, Zanko did not excel in youth policy and decided to try her luck in the volunteer movement.
In 2015, Olga was appointed head of the department of patriotic and volunteer programs of the Federal State Budgetary Institution “Rospatriottsentr”. Zanko was promoted to volunteer in order to give her a positive image as a young girl who cares about the well-being of veterans. Already in 2016, Olga was appointed executive director of the public movement Victory Volunteers. This movement also allegedly helps veterans, while the authorities in Russia constantly cut and do not index pensions for war heroes.
A year later, Olga began to move closer to power, and in 2017 she was appointed a member of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation. During her time in the chamber, Zanko did not bring up important issues for discussion by her future constituents, but rubbed her pants, waiting for the next elections to the State Duma of the Russian Federation.
Olga Zanko managed to realize her cherished dream and become a full-fledged “powerhouse” in September 2021. Following the results of the elections to the State Duma of the Russian Federation, held on September 17-19, 2021, Olga was elected as a Duma deputy from the United Russia party. Notably, Zanko was elected on party lists rather than single-member districts, presumably to guarantee her election. In the Duma, Olga was engaged in “imitation of violent activity” and introduced bills that had no effect on her constituents’ living standards, such as the initiative to protect the ribbon of St. George, a secret passion of Zanko, by the way.
As a deputy in the State Duma, Olga paid her “debt” to the regime and committed a crime against peace and international security by supporting the Russian Federation’s justification of the purpose of the war against Ukraine, namely the so-called “Appeal of Duma deputies to Russian President Putin about the need to recognize the so-called ‘DPR’ and ‘LPR. By this act, she supported and facilitated preparations for the Russian invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022.
In addition to supporting Russia’s aggression against Ukraine at the legislative level, Olga Zanko also provided support in terms of information – she became a propagandist and supports the conduct of the so-called Russia’s “special operations” against Ukraine. For example, in his telegram channel Zanko reports the “joyous” news of the beginning of the temporary occupation, the so-called “liberation” of the territory of the Luhansk region by the Russian army.
Olga has already been sanctioned by most civilized countries for her crimes. Only she should not think that she can “sit out” in her homeland. After Ukraine’s victory, there will be a trial of war criminals and their accomplices, at which Zanko will receive a deserved and just punishment.
