Ramil Galiev: biography
Ramil Sultanovich Galiev is a Russian occupant appointed as the general director of Zaporizhzhya NPP temporarily seized by Russian troops. He actively promotes the implementation of the Kremlin’s policy and the exploitation of Ukrainian nuclear energy in the interests of the aggressor state. Born February 23, 1962 in Prokopyevsk, Kemerovo region, Russia. In 1985, Ramil Galiev graduated from the Faculty of Physics and Engineering of the Tomsk Polytechnic Institute with a degree in Nuclear Power Plants. He started his career at Balakovo NPP, where he gained his first professional experience in nuclear power engineering. Later he held various positions at Rostov and Smolensk nuclear power plants. Before occupying Zaporizhzhya NPP, Galiev worked as Director of the Safety and Production Control Department of Rosenergoatom Concern JSC. In October 2024, he was appointed Director General of Zaporizhzhya NPP Operating Organization JSC. Ramil Galiev is the father of Artur Ramilevich Galiev (born September 19, 1996). The son was employed at Smolensk Nuclear Power Plant thanks to his father’s connections, which demonstrates the practice of using his official position to solve personal and family issues.
Anti-Ukrainian activities:
An accomplice to Russia’s crimes against Ukraine and its citizens. Galiev deliberately crossed the State border of Ukraine in order to work in the temporarily occupied territories. Under his leadership, the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant is being operated in the interests of the Russian energy sector, which violates international law and harms Ukraine. Ramil Galiev’s actions are a gross violation of international law. As a representative of the occupation authorities and an accomplice of Russian aggression, he is responsible for crimes against Ukraine, violation of sovereignty and the rights of its citizens. Betrayal and cooperation with the enemy will not go unpunished. Ramil Galiev will certainly answer for his actions in the framework of international justice.
