“Combat” propagandist of the Kremlin – Vladimir Solovyov was born on October 20, 1963 in Moscow in a Jewish family. His father was Rudolf Naumovich Solovyov (had the surname Vinitskovsky at birth and until 1962) and his mother was Inna Solomonovna Solovyova (Shapiro).
Vladimir spent his first school year at School 72 in Moscow, close to home. Beginning in the second grade, he studied in an elite special school № 27 with a number of subjects in English, where the children and grandchildren of members of the Central Committee of the CPSU, diplomats, etc., studied. (now secondary general education school No. 1232 with profound study of English).
I played soccer and karate. In 1980, he entered and graduated with a red diploma from the Moscow Institute of Steel and Alloys in 1986. Vladislav Surkov and Mikhail Fridman, whom Solovyov had known since 1981, were a year behind him at the same institute. Graduate of the Institute of World Economy and International Relations of the USSR Academy of Sciences. He defended his thesis on “Major Trends in the Production of New Materials and Efficiency Factors of their Use in Industry in the United States and Japan” and received a PhD in Economics.
Solovyov is Jewish by birth, and according to him he is a practicing Jew. There is information that he could not enter MEPhI because of the university’s anti-Semitic policy. He has repeatedly criticized the institution of the Orthodox Church in Russian society.
Until 1990, he taught physics, mathematics, and astronomy at School No. 27, where he himself had studied. He has taught economics at the University of Alabama since 1990. In 1992, he returned to Russia, went into business, according to him, “I had factories of my own, in Russia and the Philippines. We produced disco equipment in the nineties, sold it all over the world. There was an employment agency in Moscow”.
From July 10, 1998 to July 29, 2010, he was the host of the morning show Nightingale Warblings on the Silver Rain radio station.
Since September 2010, he has hosted the program “Full Contact” with Anna Shafran on Vesti FM radio. Former member of the presidium of the Russian Jewish Congress. He played soccer for the team of the Russian Jewish Congress.
In 2005, Solovyov participated in the founding congress of the “Nashi” movement, created by the presidential administration, as well as engaged in training members of the movement.
At the end of February 2014, along with a number of Russian journalists, public and political figures, he signed the appeal of the “All of Us – Berkut” Foundation, which was created to support members of the Ukrainian Berkut special squad that confronted activists on Euromaidan.
Solovyov is officially banned from entering Ukraine because of his journalistic activities aimed at propagandizing the war against Ukraine.
Today, Vladimir Solovyov hosts various propaganda programs that are broadcast on VGTRK holding channels, such as “Evening with Vladimir Solovyov”, “Moscow. Kremlin. Putin,” and other political programs. Hosts his own channel “Solovyov Live
He is an active anti-Ukrainian propagandist. Supported Russian aggression against Ukraine on February 24, 2022. On his programs he questions the independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of Ukraine, promotes the correctness of the current political course in Russia and the personality cult of V. Putin. Putin was personally interviewed by Solovyov as part of the documentary film project “The President.
Solovyov is engaged in writing. He has written more than 20 books, most of them containing propaganda rhetoric.
Solovyov also does business in radio broadcasting and is the founder of several advertising and performing arts organizations.

Vladimir Solovyov was awarded the Order for Merit to the Fatherland, 6th degree, by Putin. The official wording says that Solovyov was awarded “for his great services in forming a positive image of Russia and active participation in socially significant events. Presumably, Solovyov was awarded for the most active and harsh attacks on Ukraine and Western countries.
The day before the award decree was published, on July 14, 2022, Solovyov spread a fake about a war crime by the Russian Armed Forces when the latter launched a missile attack on civilian objects in Vinnitsa, stating that the missile attack was allegedly carried out on a military unit in Gaisen, Vinnitsa region, which is 80 km away from Vinnitsa.
Previously, from Putin’s hands he received the “Order of Friendship,” the “Gratitude of the President of the Russian Federation,” the “Order of Honor,” the “Nikolai Ozerov Medal,” the “Order of Alexander Nevsky” and a medal for “High Professionalism and Objectivity” in justifying the annexation of the Ukrainian Crimea.
For his support of Russia’s aggressive policy against Ukraine, he was subjected to personal sanctions by the U.S., EU, UK, Canada, and other countries. Now Vladimir will have to rest not in Italy, but in the native parts of the “great” country.
