Accusations of cooperation with the aggressor

Ani Lorak went from being an audience favorite in Ukraine to having many people turn against her, as the singer did not stop performing in Russia after the events of 2014, participating in festivals and competitions and even receiving Russian awards. On August 3, 2014, about a hundred protesters gathered outside the Ibiza club in Odessa, where Ani Lorak was preparing to perform. The head of the Odessa police, Ivan Katerynchuk, as well as the governor of the Odessa region, Igor Palitsa, condemned the singer’s position, which, according to them, was anti-Ukrainian, but also criticized the actions of the protesters.

Of course, in Ukraine Ani Lorak still has enough fans and not everyone is hostile to her person. But the fact remains.

There are many such accusations against Ani Lorak. And recently the organizer of her concert in Odessa got into a scandal. Artem Vozniuk declared his readiness to fight “for the Russian language” and called to “chase away the Nazis with a fucking broom.

The singer from Ukraine, who had lived in Russia for more than 10 years, went into hiding when the full-scale invasion began and stopped giving concerts. Although she has not been welcome in her home country for a long time.

A few months later, the singer returned to touring. She is scheduled to tour Germany in October and November. But the artist is winding down her business in Russia. Her company, Ani Lorak Production LLC, which had been organizing concerts, producing songs and music videos since 2015, finally closed down. On October 11 this year, the tax office liquidated this firm. The firm used to bring in up to 40 million rubles a year for Anya, but since 2021 the organization has been in constant turmoil after a sex scandal with composer Konstantin Meladze.

However, Lorak has not completely stopped making money in Russia. She is still listed as a sole proprietor, which means there is still an opportunity to make money.
