The world’s only ambassador under international sanctions and Deputy Defense Minister who never served in the army, Anatoly Antonov, was born May 15, 1955 in the Siberian city of Omsk. There are almost no details about Anatoly’s childhood and school life, but this will not save him from retribution. After graduating from high school, Antonov 1974 enters the Moscow State Institute of International Economic Relations, where Anatoly successfully graduated in 1978.

Immediately after graduating from MGIMO, Anatoly Antonov finds a job at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the USSR. During his time at the agency, Antonov held several positions both in foreign missions and in the central office of the Foreign Ministry. With the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991, he continued to work in the diplomatic service in the Russian Federation. Also in 2000, Anatoly became a member of the Expert Advisory Board of the PIR Center, a non-governmental organization engaged in research and educational activities in the field of international security.

The Russian government appreciated the work of Anatoly Antonov – in 2004 he was appointed director of the Department of Security and Disarmament Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In this capacity, Antonov reviewed issues of international military cooperation and participated as a member of Russian delegations in conferences reviewing treaties limiting or banning non-conventional weapons and weapons of mass destruction. In 2011, by decree of then-President Dmitry Medvedev, Antonov was appointed Deputy Minister of Defense. In his new position, Anatoly dealt with the old issues – he supervised international military cooperation and the work of the International Treaty Control Directorate, also organized contacts with foreign military representatives and attachés. In this position, Anton became an accomplice to a war crime – he was involved in Russia’s illegal occupation of the Crimean peninsula, for which he was sanctioned by the European Union.

Later, in 2016, Antonov was transferred back to the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs as deputy foreign minister. In his position, he dealt with former political-military security issues. In 2017, after the U.S. presidential election, the question arose of replacing after the Russian Federation in the country and Anatoly was appointed to this position, on whom the United States providently did not impose sanctions. At the same time, Antonov’s appointment began before the American side received its aggreman (consent), i.e. In fact, he was appointed without taking into account the opinion of the United States on this matter. In the same position he has become in addition to a war criminal also a vile Kremlin propagandist, for example on May 14, 2022, he said that “Russia will not capitulate in Ukraine”, with this statement he supported the invasion of Ukraine by Russia on February 24, 2022. A fair trial will await Anatoly for this, and he will receive a severe punishment for his service to Putin’s regime.
