Biography of Artem Sharlay
Artem Sharlay was born on October 16, 1977 in Zaporozhye. In 2000, he received a higher education, graduating from Zaporizhzhya State Technical University. Apparently, he liked Ukrainian documents at the time. Further there was career growth: if in the 2000s Artem traded in the market, by the time the war began in 2014 he was already working at Zaporizhstal. However, the biography was already predictable: at the same time citizen Sharlay became the founder of the Zaporozhye regional party organization of the political party “RUSICHI”.

With such inputs, it is not surprising that in 2014 Artem took part in Antimaidan rallies. After Yanukovych’s defeat, the failed titushka quickly scurried off to Russia. And after eight years, with the beginning of a full-scale invasion of the occupants, he returned to Zaporozhye.
There he got a position as an assistant to a member of the main council of the occupation administration of the Zaporozhye region. Then he was noted by the occupants and appointed head of the department for work with religious organizations of the Department of socio-political communications, information policy of the occupation administration of Zaporizhzhya region.
On September 10, 2023, Sharlay was registered as a “parliamentary candidate” for Putin’s United Russia in the occupied part of Zaporizhzhya Oblast. In December 2023, he was included in the list of Putin’s proxies in the pseudo-elections.
Sharlay is a member of the Troy division. Characterized quite eloquently by associates as “a pissed up monster who pissed himself”. Apparently things didn’t go well with his military career. Therefore, Sharlai engaged in more convenient for such a cowardly business – according to the words of familiar militants, took part in torture and execution of prisoners, in particular – burned two Ukrainian prisoners on tires.
