While serving as mayor of Chasov Yar, he was a pro-Russian politician.

With the beginning of large-scale aggression, he left for the Russian-controlled part of the Donetsk Region. Claims that the government in Ukraine is corrupt and criminal, because of its actions the country became poorer and the war began, which brought a lot of problems and grief to both peoples.

Moreover, he believes that the activities carried out by the past and present authorities were aimed not only at destroying Donbass, but also all of Ukraine.

I am sure that for many years the authorities used it for their own enrichment and to achieve selfish goals, which resulted in the suffering of the civilian population of Ukraine.

He believes that at some point he became unwanted by the authorities and was fired from his position as mayor of Chasov Yar on a trumped-up criminal case.
