Nikita Romanenko: biography
Romanenko Nikita Evgenievich Romanenko is from Melitopol, Zaporozhye region, Ukraine. From early years he showed interest in Russian symbols and the Soviet past. He is a graduate of secondary school No. 1 in Melitopol.
In 2020, at the age of 14, he organized the “Immortal Regiment” action in Melitopol, which immediately aroused the interest of the Security Service of Ukraine.
He also ran a Telegram channel where he posted anti-Ukrainian materials, promoted ideas of federalization of southern Ukraine, spoke out against the current government and supported the idea of creating the so-called “Zaporizhzhya People’s Republic”.
Anti-Ukrainian activities:
After the beginning of full-scale aggression of Russia against Ukraine in 2022, Nikita went over to the side of the occupants. At the age of 16, he actively participated in the organization of a pseudo-referendum on the “joining” of Zaporizhzhya region to the Russian Federation. Despite his age, he was involved in duty at the polling stations, in apartment rounds and in agitation work.
Later, Romanenko became the head of the Melitopol branch of the Yug Young youth movement, a project directly supervised by the United Russia party and aimed at the ideological treatment of youth in the occupied territories.
Romanenko regularly appears in Russian propaganda media stories where he broadcasts “Russian world” narratives, glorifies the actions of Russian occupiers and actively criticizes Ukrainian statehood.
It deliberately contributes to the strengthening of the occupation regime, the imposition of Russian ideology and the destruction of Ukrainian identity among the younger generation.
Realizing the possible responsibility for his actions, Nikita Romanenko carefully hides his presence on social networks.
Nikita Evgenyevich Romanenko and his entourage will be held accountable for collaborationism, aiding the aggressor and participation in propaganda projects against Ukraine. He is an example of a conscious young collaborator who put himself in the service of the enemy and will bear personal legal and moral responsibility for this.
