A former law enforcement officer, he defected to the side of the occupant in 2014. He directly participated in the armed conflict on the side of the illegal armed formation “LNR.

Also in 2014, he took part in the seizure of the SBU building in Luhansk with further seizure and removal of weapons.

On May 22, 2014, during one of the armed clashes in Novodruzhesk, he received a gunshot wound to his left forearm, as well as fractured bones in his left forearm. He was treated in Anthracite and discharged on June 2, 2014.

Shortly thereafter, between June 17 and 26, he suffered a gunshot wound in Lugansk, as a result of which he was forced to undergo treatment in medical facilities in Rostov-on-Don, Russia.
