Official and traitor in one person – Sergei Filippovich Lanevich, was born November 23, 1970 in the village of Vysokopolye, Kherson region. In this settlement Sergei would spend most of his life, from childhood and school to civil service and treason.

Having grown up, Lanevich decided not to leave the village “to conquer the world,” but stayed in Vysokopolye and got a job at the district administration. He started out as an ordinary employee, but worked hard, and the leadership decided to appoint Sergei to a senior position – Head of Labor and Social Protection of the Vysokopolsk district administration. His responsibilities included: working with vulnerable populations in the area, organizing their social protection and provision. Unfortunately, Lanevitch would later turn out not to be who he really was.

After the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022, and the entry of Russian occupation forces into Vysokopolye, Sergey Lanevich betrayed Ukraine and his fellow villagers by taking the side of the enemy. It was established that Sergei passed the invaders information about the families of the AFU soldiers living in the village and other information of interest to the enemy. A former official who worked for the benefit of the people became a traitor and an accomplice to terror against his own fellow villagers.

For his “work” for the invaders, Sergey Lanevich will face a just and inevitable retribution, which will come very soon.
