Journalist Dmitry Steshin was born September 12, 1972 in St. Petersburg (Leningrad), where he studied at secondary school № 247.

Dmitry Steshin received his higher education at the Northwestern Academy of Public Service (St. Petersburg), from which he graduated in 1993.

After graduating from the academy, Dmitry Steshin got a job at the newspaper Five Corners. Then he was appointed editor of Kaleidoscope magazine, where he had been published since 1994.

In 2001, he was appointed editor-in-chief of the newspaper Komsomolskaya Pravda in St. Petersburg, where he worked until 2003.
