Biography:

Balanova Svetlana Evgenievna was born on October 5, 1970 in the city of Moscow.

From 1993 to 1999 Svetlana Balanova worked in different positions in sales, marketing and logistics at 3M Russia. From 1999 to 2001. – Financial Director of 3M Russia.

From 2001-2004, she was project director of Six Sigma (business process management) in Eastern Europe, North Africa and the Middle East for 3M.

In 2004-2008, she headed 3M’s representative office in Ukraine and served as general director of 3M Ukraine.

From 2008 to 2010. Svetlana Balanova was the General Director of 3M Russia.

In 2009, she was a member of the Board of Directors of the American Chamber of Commerce in Russia. In the same year she was included in the list of 500 managers included in the reserve of managerial personnel under the patronage of the President of the Russian Federation.

In 2010-2011. – President of 3M’s international Electronic Monitoring business, Chief Operating Officer of 3M Attenti (Israel).

From 2012 to 2020, she was CEO of IBS (“IBS”; works in IT services).

Anti-Ukrainian activities:

She became a member of the supervisory board of the Internet Development Institute. Member of the Board of the Federal Fund for Social and Economic Support of National Cinematography (Cinema Fund).

Svetlana Balanova heads the media holding National Media Group (NMG), which is the founder of 28 media companies in Russia, including Channel One, Channel 5, REN TV and STS, 78.ru, the national newspaper Izvestia, Business and others. He was included in the list of “1,500 warmongers” compiled by the Free Russia Forum.

The media controlled by the NMG actively spread propaganda and disinformation related to Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine. Svetlana Balanova is also the chairman of the Public Council at Roskomnadzor.

In this role, she is responsible for strengthening the fight against “extremist and illegal content” on the Web. It therefore supports actions or policies that undermine or threaten the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine.
