The officer who became a traitor – Vyacheslav Mikhailovich Bedyukh – was born on July 8, 1980 in the village of Kachkarovka, Velikobeloozerskiy district, Zaporozhskaya oblast. While at school, Vyacheslav decided to become an army officer and entered the Kharkov Higher Aircraft Engineering Military School in 1987.

After graduation in 1992, Vyacheslav Bedukh takes the oath of allegiance to Ukraine and after the assignment he goes to serve in Stryi, Lviv region. Toward the end of his service, Bedyukh was transferred to Energodar, where he retired in 2006 due to length of service.

However, Vyacheslav was not idle, and after the army he got a job at the Zaporizhzhia NPP of state enterprise “Energoatom. At the same time, he begins to build a family life together with his wife, in a word – the quiet life of a retired job, home, wife and comfort. Also, Bedukh buys himself a car, a used Chevrolet.

But, to the idyll of Vyacheslav Bedukh’s family, war comes. After the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022 and the entry of Russian occupation forces into Energodar, the latter begin recruiting ZNPP employees. Bedyukh was one of these employees. After being offered a “higher” salary and security guarantees by the Kremlin handlers at Rosatom, Vyacheslav betrays Ukraine and becomes a so-called “an employee of the Russian company Rosatom.

Vyacheslav, a former officer, knows very well what he faces for treason. And he faces a harsh and inevitable punishment for his heinous act.
