Biography:
Denis Maidanov was born February 17, 1976 in Balakovo, Saratov region in a family of employees.
In March 2021 he announced his decision to run for the State Duma in the September elections in the 122nd single-mandate constituency of the Moscow region.
In addition, at the end of May, in the internal party primaries of United Russia, Maidanov received the majority of votes as a candidate in the 122nd district. On July 16, he submitted documents to the TEC and on July 29 was registered as a candidate for the State Duma from the United Russia party in the 122nd district. In the elections held September 17-19, 2021 received a majority of votes – 40.39%.

However, Denis Maidanov supports the policy of Russian President V. He speaks of him as a “strong man and a leader. In 2012, when Putin was running for a third presidential term, Maidanov participated in two campaign rallies in his support: on February 4 at Poklonnaya Hill and on February 23 in Luzhniki.
In 2015, he spoke at the celebration of Vladimir Putin’s 63rd birthday.
As he supports the annexation of Crimea to Russia, calling it “the triumph of historical justice. He participated in a number of public events in support of Russia’s policy in Crimea: the “We are Together” rally-concert in Moscow (March 2014), the Days of Moscow in Sevastopol (July 2014), the “Forge of Victory” Night Wolves bike show near Sevastopol (August 2015), and the “Spring” student festival at Vorobyovy Gory in Moscow (March 2017).
Accusations against Ukraine:
However, in the armed conflict in eastern Ukraine, Denis Maidanov condemns the current Ukrainian authorities.
In 2015 and 2016, Maidanov gave concerts in Donetsk. As of 2017, he was banned from entering Ukraine.
In January 2018, however, he became Vladimir Putin’s proxy for the presidential election of March 18, 2018. In an interview in February 2018, he reiterated his full support for Putin and his course, noting that he considers him the man who pulled Russia out of the ruin of the 1990s and restored order to it.
Denis also noted that he “would put Vladimir Vladimirovich on a par with such great men as Peter the Great.

In 2022, in his Instagram account, he supported Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
On February 15, 2022, supported a resolution to appeal to the president of the Russian Federation to recognize the “independence” of the occupied regions of Donetsk and Luhansk.
In addition, on February 22, 2022 voted to ratify the treaty “on friendship, cooperation and mutual assistance between the Russian Federation and the Lugansk People’s Republic.
By decree of President Vladimir Zelensky of September 7, 2022 is under Ukrainian sanctions.
However, on December 23, 2022, a Ukrainian court sentenced Denis Maidanov in absentia to 15 years in prison for “encroachment” on the territorial integrity of Ukraine.
Terrorist Activities:
Since such activities can be regarded as an attack on the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the state of Ukraine.
Consciously violating the state border of Ukraine, however, with the aim of entering Crimea and Donbass, which were seized by the Russian occupiers, cooperation with pro-Russian terrorist organizations, and similar actions.
Since having considered all of the above facts, we can conclude that this is yet another accomplice of Russian war criminals and occupants, who is an accomplice to the crimes of the Russian authorities against the state of Ukraine.
