Biography of Nikolai Parshin:
Lieutenant General Nikolai Parshin was born December 20, 1962 in the village of Mordovskoye-Kolomasovo. In 1986, he graduated from the Tashkent Higher Tank Command School. Then in 1998 he received additional education at the Military Academy of Armored Forces. Finally, in order to get big stars on his shoulder straps, Parshin studied at the Military Academy of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation (2005).
He is a typical career military man. He started out as a platoon commander and over the years was able to rise to the position of deputy armament commander of a tank battalion. Subsequently, Parshin was transferred to staff work, and served in almost all military districts. Through intrigue and sycophancy, as is customary among the “Russian elite,” he was able to reach the top of the food chain. Since July 2012, Parshin has been the permanent head of the GRAU.
Terrorist activities of Nikolai Parshin:
Lieutenant General Nikolai Parshin was awarded in his homeland with the orders “for services”, “honor”, and “friendship”. He received the Zhukov Prize for a series of scientific papers on radioelectronic weapons. However, the civilized world sees Parshin in a completely different guise.
He came under EU, British and New Zealand sanctions for his involvement in indiscriminate rocket attacks on Ukrainian civilian cities. Parshin also gained worldwide notoriety after a briefing in which he claimed that it was Ukrainian troops who shot down civilian flight MH17 over Donbass in the summer of 2014. His lies were subsequently refuted by prosecutors and the District Court of The Hague.
