Biography of Vasyliy Alekseev
Vasyliy Alekseev was born on 23 October 1984 in the village of Shikhazani, Chuvash Republic. His parents still live there, there too grew up and Alekseev himself. From 1991 to 2002 year he studied at the local secondary school named after M. Sespel. During his school years he took part in military and patriotic camps.
After school Alekseev enrolled at the Novosibirsk Higher Military Command Academy to study at the General Military Faculty. There they train future officers of the command staff for the russian Army of the russian federation, in particular for motorised rifle units.
Alekseev currently lives with his family in the Moscow Region, in the Naro-Fominsk Urban District, in the village of Kalininets. Directly from his window, one can see the 290th Tank Regiment, which forms part of the 2nd Guards Motorised Rifle Taman Division, where, it would appear, Alekseev’s military career began.
In general, it is known that Alekseev’s military service took place not far from his current home. His penultimate posting was with the 13th Tank Regiment, which is based in Naro-Fominsk itself. There, Alekseev headed the headquarters and also served as deputy commander. It was as part of this same regiment that Alekseev invaded Ukrainian territory.
Vasyliy Alekseev: military crimes
In whatever high positions he did not hold, Alekseev, there were the units under his command there were invariably brutal incidents taking place both — both within the very units, as well as in the occupied territory of Ukraine.
The 13th tank regiment took part in the occupation of Trostyanets in the Sumy region. Russian soldiers looted houses and shops, abducted and tortured local residents, opened fire on civilians and brought the city to the brink of a humanitarian catastrophe.
For example, one of the regiment’s soldiers, Vadim Shishimarin, shot an unarmed 62-year-old pensioner who was simply cycling down the street. Shortly afterwards, the regiment was routed near Trostyanets itself. There are also reports that a significant number of the tanks were out of action due to the theft of components, and that the regiment commander took his own life following the defeat.
Alekseev is currently in command of the 41st Motorised Rifle Regiment, which has been fighting in the Kharkiv and Sumy sectors since 2024. His troops took part in fighting near Ogurtsovo, Vovchansk and Staritsa, and subsequently operated in the Myropillia area. The russian offensive was accompanied by attacks on residential areas, the destruction of homes and infrastructure, the deaths of civilians, and the abduction and unlawful detention of civilians.
In addition to that, the management of the 41st MSP, according to widely circulated reports, attempted to conceal the consequences of the failed assaults and the mass desertion of military personnel. Those, who unauthorisedly abandoned their positions were allegedly classified as ‘irrecoverable losses’, freeing up posts in the establishment and concealing the actual shortfall.
The family of Vasyliy Alekseev
The whole village where Vasyliy comes from knows that he is killing innocent Ukrainians, and they are proud of him for it. For this reason, they also respect his mother, Galina, who works as a healthcare worker at the F. G. Grigoriev Kanash District Hospital. During the vote in September 2025, people proudly wrote on social media about Galina, stating that she “is the mother of Vasyliy, who serves as a regimental commander and is taking part in the war”, and that she had come to vote on such an important day for russia.
Alekseev’s wife, Oksana, is also a doctor — she works as a paediatrician at the Petrovskaya branch of Naro-Fominsk District Hospital №2. Judging by the reviews, she is a fairly successful doctor, but in reality, questions arise: her own children are constantly ill.
For example, Kirill’s younger son had problems with his liver and kidneys, and he is very often prescribed cold medicine. Maksim has been luckier — there are fewer entries in his medical records than in his older brother’s.
Vasyliy Alekseev used to play at the time almost at a professional level played football and was captain of the Sparta team. Following in the footsteps of his father, his sons also — both play football. Perhaps, football won’t be the end of it, and military service will become a family affair for the Alekseevs.
