History:
The public movement Peace Luhanschina is the largest public movement in the self-proclaimed Luhansk People’s Republic.
The public movement Peace Luhanschina was created before the elections to the LNR People’s Council, which took place on November 2, 2014. Earlier it was decided, for a variety of reasons, not to create political parties in the republic, and to legalize only public organizations.
In the elections, representatives of the movement received a lot of support from voters, taking first place by the number of votes – 69.42% of the total number of citizens who voted.
It has 35 representatives in the LNR People’s Council. The organization advocates close ties with Russia. The logo of the movement is a white dove of peace against a blue sky.
Terrorist Activities:
The organization itself advocates and positions itself as a movement for reconciliation with Ukraine and advocates the peaceful construction of an independent democratic Luhansk People’s Republic as a state governed by the rule of law, in which citizens are protected from discrimination on national, linguistic, religious, social, and other grounds.
However, the organization sees nothing wrong with its actions. Namely, trying to eradicate the Ukrainian people from their own territories by killing all nationality in the civilians. Many such terrorist organizations try to move into occupied territories and, starting to dictate their rules, want to absorb first the city, then the region and finally the whole country.
