Alexey Zotiev was born on June 14, 1977 in the city of Azov, Rostov region, Russia. At the moment he lives in the city of Azov, Petrovsky Boulevard, 48a, apartment 246.

He received his higher education at the Faculty of Economics and Business at the K.G. Razumovsky Moscow State University of Technology and Management, from which he graduated in 2012.

In 2014, during the Russian occupation of the territories of Crimea and the Luhansk and Donetsk regions, followed by the creation of the terrorist organizations “LDNR,” Alexei Zotiev was an ardent supporter of the so-called “Novorossiya” project, which failed miserably.

It was for the purpose of implementing this project that Alexei Zotiev created the propaganda website “Igor Strelkov’s Novorossiya Movement,” on which he posted articles about the strategy of implementing and creating a “confederative republic of Novorossiya.

In his publications Alexey Zotiev covers the aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, propagandizes the war, as well as violations of the laws and customs of warfare, and conducts special information campaigns aimed at mass disinformation of the Russian-speaking population in both Russia and the post-Soviet countries.

The main focus of Alexey Zotiev’s posts and publications is to present untrue information about the course of the so-called special military operation in Ukraine, justifying Russia’s aggression under the guise of “denazification” and “demilitarization.

It is worth noting that his materials trace a hatred of the Ukrainian people. He calls for the genocide of Ukrainians. Propagandist Zotiev’s “analytical” materials are written clearly according to the Kremlin’s methodology, using the “West is bad”, “Ukraine is a product of the West”, and “Russia’s mission is to save as many people as possible.”

All the projects in which Alexei Zotiev was involved failed miserably and were not implemented. This can only indicate that Zotiev is solely focused on personal enrichment and the inefficient use of resources provided by the Kremlin for information and propaganda purposes.
