Ilnur Sanatullov: biography
Ilnur Ildarovich Sanatullov was born on September 12, 1990 in Ulyanovsk. Until 2015, he lived at 69 Nekrasova Street. Since 2015, he served in h/h 45863 in Ulyanovsk as a platoon commander, then company commander. In 2018-2019 and 2021 he served in Chebarkul, Chelyabinsk region, in the Chebarkul, Chelyabinsk region, in / / 93992 as a platoon commander of the command post of the command center of the 80th regiment. V/h 45863 was part of the structure of the FCU OSC of the Central Military District with a legal address in Samara.
As of 2025-2026, he is a battalion commander of the 122nd Motorized Rifle Regiment of the 68th Guards Motorized Rifle Sevastopol Red Banner Division named after Latvian Riflemen of the 6th Combined Arms Army of the Leningrad Military District, Kupyanskoye direction. Call sign “Valdai”.
In parallel with his military service, Sanatullov systematically racked up loans from microcredit organizations, from 11,000 to 87,000 rubles, and evaded repayment. At least seven enforcement proceedings have been initiated against him by the FSSP in the Ulyanovsk and Chelyabinsk regions. When applying for loans up to 1,300,000 rubles, he concealed his military service, indicating the status of “not working”. In his free time from debts, he was registered on the dating sites love.ru under the nicknames “oleggo” and “Xabiba” in the presence of his wife and young daughter.
War Crimes of Ilnur Sanatullov
Since February 2022, units of the 25th Guards Independent Motorized Rifle Brigade, the predecessor of the 68th Guv. mssd, have been committing war crimes on Ukrainian territory. On February 24, 2022, an officer of the brigade gave the order to open fire on civilian vehicles on the ring road of Kharkiv. As a result, a woman was killed, her daughter survived. Kharkiv regional prosecutor’s office opened a special investigation under Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Since 2023, the 68th Gvn. msd, in which Sanatullov’s battalion operates, has been conducting an offensive in the Kupyansk direction north of Kupyansk on the western bank of the Oskol River. Systematic strikes against civilians and civilian infrastructure have been documented in the division’s area of operations. KAB and ODAB-1500 aerial bombs on residential neighborhoods and a school in the village of Chernoye, MLRS strikes on the center of Kupyansk, FPV drone attacks on an ambulance. In November 2025, two unarmed civilians carrying a white flag are shot by an FPV drone along with a dog. Victims are recorded in the areas of Grekovka, Nadezhda, Novomikhailovka, Novosergeevka, Drobyshevo, Zarechnoye and other settlements.
In January 2026, the 122nd Motorized Rifle Regiment found itself in a “bureaucratic trap” in Kupyansk. The regiment’s command prematurely reported taking control of a number of city neighborhoods. As a result, the assault groups, including Sanatullov’s battalion, were left without artillery support and were methodically destroyed by the Ukrainian defenders.
Throughout their participation in the full-scale invasion, Sanatullov and the units under his command have been involved in numerous crimes against the Ukrainian people. All those involved will be identified and held accountable for their crimes.
Ilnur Sanatullov’s family
Sanatullov was married to Khusainova Gulchachak Rifkatovna, a native of Naberezhnye Chelny. Rashist has two children, daughter Aliya and son Tamerlan. After the divorce, the children stayed with their mother in Ulyanovsk. Rashist’s mother Sanatullova Damirya Vazykhovna lives in Ulyanovsk, Nekrasova Street, 69.
