War Crimes of Sergei Kuzovlev
Serhiy Kuzovlev is one of the main war criminals of the war against Ukraine. He became widely known for his report to Putin in December 2025, in which he claimed the complete capture of the city of Kupyansk, which turned out to be a blatant lie. Nevertheless, this did not prevent the war criminal from receiving the title of “hero of russia” from the bunker.
In 2014-2015, under the pseudonym “Ignatov”, he personally commanded the 1st and 2nd Army Corps. He used Grads and Smerches to wipe out the residential neighborhoods of Popasnaya, Debaltseve and Uglegorsk. During the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, he led the complete destruction of Mariupol: bombing of the maternity hospital, the Drama Theater, and the siege of the city, which resulted in the deaths of thousands of civilians.
Kuzovlev ordered Iskander and Kalibr missile strikes on Zaporizhzhya residential buildings and the systemic destruction of the Ukrainian energy sector, leaving millions of people without light and heat in the middle of winter. Kuzovlev is listed in the “Peacemaker” database as a war criminal for mass murder of civilians and is under sanctions by the US, EU, UK, Canada and other countries. In russia, he has been awarded orders and promoted for this.
