Vitaly Klester: biography
Klester Vitaly Viktorovich was born on November 6, 1979 in Alekseevka village, Omsk region. He is a career officer of the Russian Armed Forces. No later than 2015, he held the position of deputy commander of the 6th RHBZ Regiment (v/h 12086, Sapernoye settlement, Leningrad region) as part of the 6th Guards All-Russian Army. In 2016, recorded in Kostroma, presumably during the period of additional military training. In 2019, in Balashovsky district of Saratov region, where units of the rf army are also stationed. The place of work is officially listed as Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, 19 Znamenka St., Moscow.
Currently commands the 344th Motorized Rifle Regiment (v/h 11141) of the 69th Motorized Rifle Division of the 6th Guards All-Russian Army of the Russian Armed Forces. Rank – Colonel.
Vitaly Klester’s war crimes
The 344th Motorized Rifle Regiment was formed in September 2022 from mobilized residents of the Vladimir, Nizhny Novgorod, Kursk, Orel, Lipetsk and Ivanovo Regions. After formation, the regiment was sent to Svatovo in Lugansk region, where it fought defensive battles. In the spring of 2023 it was transferred to the Kupyansk direction of the Kharkov region, where it fought for several months near the village of Sinkivka. Sin’kovka, preparing the forcing of the Oskol River in the direction of Kupyansk.
In the winter of 2023-2024, the regiment suffered serious losses during the assaults on Sinkivka, with dozens of servicemen reported missing. Relatives of servicemen publicly report that appeals to the regiment commander go unanswered. Klester is publicly accused of seizing medicines from wounded soldiers and then writing them off on documents, leaving servicemen without the necessary medical care. In August 2024, Russian troops took control of Sinkivka, a bridgehead for the offensive on Kupyansk.
The 6th Guards All-Volunteer Army, which includes Klester’s regiment, has been involved in an offensive against Kharkiv Oblast since February 24, 2022. On February 28, 2022, strikes on residential neighborhoods in Kharkiv killed 8 civilians including a 17-year-old boy, and damaged a school and kindergarten. In a separate case, Ukrainian law enforcers have declared the commander of the 6th Combined Armed Forces Army suspicious for shelling a nuclear facility at the Kharkiv Institute of Physics and Technology. The Kharkiv regional prosecutor’s office opened criminal proceedings under part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
All those involved will be identified and held accountable for their crimes.
Vitaly Klester’s family
Klester is married to Veronika Sergeevna Klester, a native of Omsk Oblast. The couple live in the village of Sapernoye, Leningrad region, the location of military units of the 6th Army. The wife in different years worked as a nurse in / / h 42297 (315th military hospital, settlement Sapernoye). Rashist has two children – son Danila (10.01.2004) and daughter Valeria (24.03.2008).
