The All-Russian People’s Front was created on the initiative of Vladimir Putin. The proposal to create it was made on May 6, 2011, at the inter-regional conference of the “United Russia” party in Volgograd. He noted in his remarks:

This form of uniting the efforts of all political forces is used in different countries and by different political forces – left, right, and patriotic – it is a tool for uniting political forces that are close in spirit. I would like the party, and other parties, and all public organizations, all people who are united by the desire to improve the life of the country. This association may be called the All-Russian People’s Front.

During the meeting, Vladimir Putin outlined the key activities of the ONF:

We need to rapidly defuse the mine that Lenin laid under the Soviet Union, we need to transfer the economy to innovative rails and at the same time to effectively and fairly solve social problems – these are the two main motives that, in fact, served as the starting point for the implementation of the proposal to create the ONF.

Not counting the Russian participants, public organizations from Estonia, Latvia, Moldova, Belarus and Finland joined the ONF. Foreign compatriots who joined ONF formed the international wing of ONF – “International Russia” ONF.

Terrorist Activities:

The All-Russian People’s Front plans to open permanent offices in the DNR and LNR. A humanitarian aid distribution center will also appear in Donetsk, following Luhansk, Mikhail Kuznetsov, head of the ONF executive committee, told DAN.
